A big part of our job is making our clients job easier. Some examples are fixing up billing issues with telecommunications companies (and saving them thousands at the same time), getting licensing audits completed, analysing communication costs, working out better ways to operate and communicate, and finally procurement. One of the greatest things about IT Partners is our team of people – they go the extra mile, and create amazing tools and solutions for our clients.
Right now we are working with some great clients, and achieving results that matter!
At the same time one of the things that I am really enjoying is that our work in developing a few new partner relationships is starting to really pay off. These include: FX Networks, Vodafone, YouSendIt, ShoreTel and Google Apps.
FX Networks have built a serious backbone network throughout the North Island (South Island network under construction) and it is only going to get better as they pair at more exchanges and use Telecom Wholesale to connect clients not on fibre. We have used them recently to provide fibre connections for customers to connect back to Hamilton from: Rotorua, Tauranga, and Morrinsville. In all cases we are getting higher bandwidth 10 Mb/s plus for dramatically lower prices than the incumbent TelCos can offer.
More later on Vodafone, YouSendIt, ShoreTel and Google Apps!
We waited in anticipation but it all seems very ho hum now, perhaps because of the hype in the lead up to the release. There’s also an air of giving us what we should have had from the start. I upgraded on the day to version 3, and appreciate getting back “copy and paste” and vcard sending, both features which I had on my BlackBerry.
According to various blog sites, sales of the 3GS have been setting records – however in saying that, with the network frequencies we operate in NZ, other than a faster processor, I can’t see what an upgraded model will do for me.
For users still running firmware version 2 a full feature list of what is included is covered here.
