Great news for the Waikato with the latest announcement from Velocity Networks and Wel Energy partnering together! We have had huge growth in our clients take up of Fibre. The uptake has been driven by our ability for us to deliver real value in the form of higher speeds, lower pricing, no data caps, and better quality through lower latency and faster international bandwidth.

At IT Partners we make a big investment in training and research and development and we want to find and implement the best technology solutions and keep up to date. As part of our investment in 2009, Greig McGill and Frazer Thompson have gone this week to Cisco Networkers 2009 in Brisbane to advance their Cisco knowledge and certification.

Finally, the Economist on a regular basis produces a “Did you Know?” series on you tube – the latest one is here.

I’m speaking later this week at the Lexis Nexus Strategic Law Firm Management conference. It should be very interesting, and I have decided to attend both days.  My paper is focused on aligning IT and firm strategy. This is no easy task, especially with professional service firms.

Whilst researching some facts for the paper, I came across some interesting websites including: Intel’s mini website on co-founder Gordon Moore, the National Broadband Map, and a business book that I would recommend Discovery Driven Growth.

If you are interested in the topic, email me and I will give you a copy.
