Aber Group (Integration)

Aber Group, a family owned company established in 1980, consists of several businesses interlinked by their involvement in various aspects of the energy market. While the head office is in Hamilton, operations are also based in Auckland and Christchurch and the group employs over 50 staff.

Problem : Incorporating a newly acquired company on a tight timeframe – with no service disruption

Aber Group acquired Kiwi Camping in July 2012 after identifying a mutual commitment to providing high quality products and an exceptional level of service.  It was therefore essential that the process of bringing the company into the Group did not compromise customer service, despite the short time frame available to integrate their IT systems.

Solution : “We gave the problem to IT Partners and they just sorted it.”

Implementing the right systems at speed was crucial to transitioning the new acquisition.  “IT Partners did everything they could to ensure a smooth, fast transition,” says COO Ian Palmer.  “They sorted everything from the IT platforms to our domains – we handed the whole project to them, and not only did they deliver a timely and seamless integration, but they also incorporated improvements that continue to add value to the business.”
