More iPhone tips
- Folders – Drag and drop similar apps onto each other e.g. news sites. This will create a folder that you can rename and add more items too.
- Managing calls – When receiving a call while in a meeting, press the sleep/hold button at the top of your iPhone once to silence the ringer. Press it twice to send the call to voicemail.
- Websites – If you visit particular websites often, then add them as an icon. Visit the site from Safari. Click the ‘add’ button (the box with the arrow in it) and select ‘Add to Home Screen.’
- Typing - Undo typing by shaking your iPhone, and shake it again if you want the text back.
- Caps lock - Double-tap the shift key (caps lock needs to be enabled in General Settings, Keyboard), or tap the shift key and slide to the letter you want to capitalise.
- Camera – For close up shots, tap the screen to focus. Because we don’t often put our iPhone away in a case like we would with a camera, to get the best shots remember to use an microfiber cloth to clean your lens.
