Upgraded Mobile Broadband Plans/ Cost Control

$29.95 a month previously gave you 200MB of data on your Smartphone device to access emails, internet etc.  As of 1 February there is even more value for customers with the same price giving you 500MB of data.  New and existing customers are eligible for this plan.  If you are an existing Vodafone customer and are due for an upgrade on your contract, then simply resign the term and you receive the increase in data allowance. 

Further to this, Vodafone has made a lot of progress around controlling cost for your Mobile Broadband usage.  On 26 January 2011, Vodafone launched real-time usage-based TXT notifications for Mobile Internet and Mobile Broadband customers.  A TXT message gets sent to the users Mobile Connect dashboard (for USB Vodems) or to their mobile if their data plan is added to their Smartphone.  Notifications are sent when 80% and 100% of the monthly data allowance is used.  If you have Double Your Data then the same applies, TXT sent at 80% and 100%.
