At IT Partners we’re continuously looking for ways to improve the benefits that support our core values – hence the updated version of the usual and unusual benefits of working at IT Partners.

I read this article and thought to myself this is a question that I am also asked often, alongside our impressive employee retention statistics for A players, so why not do something similar.
So here goes a list of benefits available as of April 2021:
Top quartile salaries: we look at industry stats, recruitment data and we make sure we are consistently paying in the upper quartile, and are prepared to adjust any time, to make sure we are meeting the market for A players.
Extensive Wellbeing Programme, including an In-house gym, Wellness Session, and Personal Trainer & Wellbeing Coordinator: 4 years ago, we made a big commitment to the wellbeing of all staff by having an in-house gym and Personal Trainer & Wellbeing Coordinator. We also offer a 45-minute weekly Wellness Session to encourage activities and coaching that will support the health and wellbeing of our Team (this relays to both physical and mental health).
Wellness Allowance: prioritising health & wellbeing, and creating life-long wellbeing habits has immense value for all aspects of your life. So, to encourage you to take ownership of your physical and mental health & wellbeing, we offer a Wellness Allowance to assist with any medical or wellbeing related purchases.
Clothing allowance: looking professional costs money, we provide an annual clothing allowance to help with this.
Best internet around town: An unlimited home internet connection is available to our Team from the best provider in town (plug Lightwire). Being in IT you also have the fun of being volunteered to look after all sorts of IT issues, so we make it a little easier with your “parents” and provide discounted internet access where we can.
KiwiSaver 4%: we contribute and match to 4% of your Kiwisaver contributions.
First Home Owner Contribution: for A players, we recognise that taking that first big step and committing to buying your own home is a big deal, we help with a one-off contribution (up to $7,500) to your deposit.
Best office in town: standing desks are just the start of a great place to work, alongside multiple monitor setup, great in-house coffee and a barista in the lobby, snack cupboard, fruit and drinks provided year-round.
Service Anniversary: we recognise your anniversary of joining the company, and know that family help with the commitment you make to the company, so we provide a small thank you in the form of a restaurant gift voucher – so that you can recognise them. We also make a bigger deal out of 5, 10 and 15 years (yes we have already had one of those, and it wasn’t me) anniversaries.
Extended Leave: sometimes you just want to be able to explore the world (or good old NZ) – so if been with us for more than 2 years, we are happy for you to take some extended leave of absence.
No-Red-Tape Credit Card: until recently I hadn’t thought this was a benefit, but we like to make things easy and provide every staff member with a credit card so our employees don’t have to wait to be re-imbursed.

Not just technical training: we recognise that its just not about providing technical skill training, soft skills like listening and resiliency are equally important, and as a company we invest in both. We also offer an Unlimited Book Benefit to support the personal and professional development of our Team.
Home office: we provide all the setup you need to have an effective home office – it also fits in with our work from anywhere, and flexible working hours philosophy – sometimes you just need to be able to work from home for a variety of reasons – like family!

Whilst not a strictly a benefit, we do place an emphasis on work life balance and not working excessive hours, we do have a high-performance culture but balance this with flexible working hours and a focus on getting stuff done.
